Qualifications

  • Our ideal candidate has honed their skills in a restaurant with a large international wine selection. While prior experience with such restaurants is preferred, it is not mandatory. Key responsibilities

  • Our owner is a distinguished level 4 WSET diploma holder and certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Sommeliers will work closely along aside the owner who is based overseas in creating strategies on how to improve revenue, improve the ever-evolving wine list, constantly manage our inventory, order wines and liquor and directly communicate with suppliers. Furthermore, adept budget analysis and meticulous cost planning will be integral to the sommelier's responsibilities, making it crucial for them to possess a genuine affinity for numbers and enjoy working with financial data. Last but not least, another very important aspect of our sommelier's job is to train our team with weekly training sessions. Effective communication skills are crucial, as the role requires exceptional leadership, the ability to inspire and motivate the team, and occasional authoritative decision-making. Fluency in English is an essential requirement for all applicants, without exception.
