Ayana hospitality is seeking an experienced chief engineering for its ayana komodo resort. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations at the resort, ensuring the property is always operating at peak efficiency and providing an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality and strong leadership skills, able to effectively manage a team of engineers and maintenance professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field from a reputable university.
- 2 years of experience as chief engineering in a 5-star hotel or equivalent role in a large property.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance and oversee large-scale engineering operations.
- Technical expertise in handling electrical, mechanical systems, and proficiency in using testing and measurement instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with solid communication abilities to engage with internal teams and external vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering department to ensure efficient daily operations, preventive, maintenance, and emergency responsiveness for all hotel systems and facilities.
- Oversee annual budgeting, monitor pomec costs, and control expenses related to maintenance, utilities, and projects while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and supervise both internal and external repair work across the property.
- Ensure compliance with safety, fire protection, and environmental regulations, including training team members on related procedures.
- Monitor and reduce energy and water consumption annually through operational initiatives and equipment optimization.
