Barista

As a barista at Vinyl Coffee Bar, you will be responsible for delivering a warm, personal, and memorable experience for every guest, while maintaining high standards across coffee, bar, and light kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a barista in a café, bar, or hospitality setting.
• Male preferred (operational reasons).
• Comfortable engaging with guests; must enjoy social interaction and building connections.
• Familiar with both bar and kitchen operations, including simple food plating (tapas) and basic cocktail preparation.
• Knowledge of grinders, espresso machines, milk steaming, and coffee basics.
• Understanding of inventory/stock management (stockiest skill).
• Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and bar maintenance.
• Good teamwork, communication, and discipline.
• English speaking (basic to intermediate).
• Honest, humble, and positive attitude.
• Passion for music and aesthetic culture is a bonus.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee, basic cocktails, and beverages consistently.
• Provide exceptional guest relations — warm engagement, friendly communication, and creating a social, personal connection with customers.
• Assist with tapas and simple food preparation, ensuring smooth coordination between bar and kitchen.
• Maintain excellent bar cleanliness, hygiene, and workstation organization at all times.
• Ensure proper stock management — stock-taking, ordering needs, and ingredient control.
• Support smooth daily operations: opening/closing procedures, maintenance checks, and keeping the bar in top visual condition.
• Uphold Vinyl Coffee Bar’s aesthetic and music-driven atmosphere.
• Contribute to improving service flow, experience, and team collaboration.
